Message and Discussion Board (Click here to visit the board)

Introduction

The Africancrops.net website has established a Message Board to facilitate exchange of information among actors working to improve African crops. The message board has various forums organized along crops and topics related to crop improvement. Each forum is moderated by scientists with related research interests. You can access the Message Board from the Africancrops.net home page. We have identified Moderators for each Forum and their full contact details are below. Feel free to suggest new forums to the Board administrator.

The moderators will manage activities of the forum including organizing posted messages, seeking answers to questions that may be posed by board users, identify reference sources and researchers involved in improving African crops, conduct online discussion events, among other roles. The message board allows you to post news and research abstracts, respond to questions and participate in discussions.

Feel free to utilize the board to disseminate information about your projects. You can send me reports, publications and photos for uploading to the Africancrops.net website and share links to them through the board. If you are new to the board, you must register and validate the registration through an email that will be sent to you upon registration.  Attached is a simple guide on how to use the board. I am willing to answer any questions on the utilization of the Message Board. You can participate in all the forums with your username and password.

How the Board Works

The board has various forums with each moderated by a selected member who is naturally a scientist in the field associated with the forum. Use of the board is through online registration, which is a quick process so long as you have immediate access to your inbox. Registered users can read and reply to posted messages, start new topics, check polls and conduct searches. Each member has a control panel which can be personalized. Posts may include news, answers to a question or a general contribution. Images cannot be uploaded to the forum for security reasons. Arrangements, however, can be made for uploading of images through the Board Administrator.

Current Forums
