Project Outputs

  • XVSAP1 (membrane protein) confers tolerance to salinity and water deficit in transgenic Arabidopsis and Tobacco (J. Exp. Bot. 2003. 54,191-201 and paper submitted). 

  • XVPER1 (peroxiredoxin) has been introduced into Digitaria sanguinalis and maize and the plants will be tested shortly (Planta 2002. 215,716-726 )

  • ALDRXV4 (aldose reductase) has been introduced into Digitaria sanguinalis and will be tested shortly (Planta 211,693-700 2000).
