Short Description of the Grant

The grant is for organizing a workshop to share information on genetically modified organisms. The workshop was to bring together NGOs, national and international research institutions, academic institutions and donors to evaluate trends and impacts of GMO technology in Africa and develop proposals for generic policies that would mitigate the negative effects of the technology while maximizing its potential gains.
