Project Outputs

NERICSA Rice Consortium Workshop led to the creation and launch of the African Rice Initiative (ARI). The Secretariat has been partially funded by the Rockefeller Foundation. An interim Coordinator has been appointed and the substantive Coordinator will start in July 2003. The workplan for the initiative has been submitted and countries contacted for nominations of National Coordinators. Other donors being contacted for confirmation of commitment to support ARI activities.
